Frequently asked questions
Can a built-in hood be serviced without removing the cabinet?
Yes — the unit is designed to release from its housing. We slide it out, deep-clean or repair on the counter, reseal the duct connection, and refit flush. The cabinet stays untouched; grease inside the cabinet gets checked while we're there.
My telescopic hood's slider is stiff or dead. Fixable?
Yes — the slider tracks gum up with grease and the switch behind them wears. A degrease usually frees the movement; a worn slider switch is an inexpensive replacement carried for most brands.
Built-in vs wall-mounted — is suction weaker in built-ins?
Comparable motors are used; real-world suction depends on the duct run and filter condition more than the format. Built-ins hide their duct in cabinetry, so a kinked or crushed hose there silently kills performance — something our installation and service both check.
