Can an island chimney be fitted after the false ceiling is done?
It's possible but harder — the suspension must still anchor into the structural slab above, and the duct path may need ceiling rework. Ideally involve us before the ceiling closes; if it's already done, we assess and give you the honest options.
Why does my island chimney vibrate or hum loudly?
A grease-unbalanced blower wheel is the usual cause — island units show it more because the whole body hangs free. A deep clean rebalances it. If noise persists, we check the suspension tension and motor mounts on the same visit.
Is island chimney servicing costlier than wall-mounted?
