My microwave runs but doesn't heat. Is it worth repairing?
Usually yes. Nine times out of ten it's the magnetron, its diode, or a blown internal fuse — all replaceable at a fraction of a new unit's price. You get the exact part quote before we proceed, so the repair-or-replace decision is yours with real numbers.
Why is my microwave sparking inside?
Most often a carbonised waveguide cover (the small mica sheet inside), chipped cavity paint, or metal residue. All three are fixable. Stop using it until checked — continued arcing can damage the magnetron, turning a small repair into a big one.
Is it safe to use a microwave with a loose or cracked door?
No. The door and its interlock switches are what keep microwave energy inside the cavity. We replace latches, hinges, and interlock switches, then verify the door seals correctly before the unit is certified safe to use.
Do you clean microwaves too?
Yes — the cavity clean and turntable service degreases the interior, cleans the waveguide cover area, checks the turntable motor and roller ring, and finishes with a heating test. Good to book yearly, or whenever food splatter has baked in.
