Panel-level faults on OLED are usually uneconomical to repair outside brand warranty — panels cost most of a new TV. But identical-looking symptoms can come from the T-CON or mainboard, which repair affordably. Precise diagnosis first; we've saved many 'dead panels' that were boards.
How do you mount an 85" TV safely?
Two-person handling, a bracket rated well above the panel's weight, anchoring into structural masonry or doubled studs, and laser levelling. We refuse unsafe walls rather than improvising — an 85" panel is not the place for hope.
Should I worry about OLED burn-in?
Modern OLEDs manage it well with pixel-shift and refresh cycles. Sensible habits — varied content, no static channel logos at max brightness for hours, letting the panel run its maintenance cycles — keep risk minimal. Setup includes enabling these protections.
