Frequently asked questions
My cooler blows air but doesn't cool. What's wrong?
Either the pump isn't lifting water (scaled or failed), the water distributor is blocked, or the pads are too clogged to hold moisture. All three are pre-season service items — after the visit you should feel distinctly cooler, wetter air.
How often should honeycomb pads be replaced?
Every 1–2 seasons with regular use, sooner if your water is hard or the air is dusty. Washing helps between replacements, but once the honeycomb channels are scaled shut, replacement is the only way to restore cooling.
Why does my cooler smell?
Stale water and organic growth in the tank and pads. A tank clean, pad wash (or replacement), and a dose of cooler-safe disinfectant kill the smell. Draining the tank weekly during the season keeps it away.
Can a cooler run on inverter power?
Most coolers draw 150–250W, well within a home inverter's range — that's one of their big advantages over ACs. If your cooler trips the inverter, the motor may be drawing excess current and is worth a service check.
