Frequently asked questions
Water drains out during the wash cycle. What's wrong?
The drain valve isn't sealing — a worn valve rubber or a stretched drain-selector wire. It's one of the most common and cheapest semi-automatic repairs; the technician carries the parts for a same-visit fix on most models.
The spin tub doesn't start or trips the machine. Why?
Usually the spin lid's safety switch, the spin motor's capacitor, or a seized brake. Occasionally clothes are simply unbalanced. The visit tests each in turn — capacitors and switches are inexpensive fixes done on the spot.
Is my 10-year-old semi-automatic worth repairing?
Usually yes — these machines are mechanically simple and parts remain cheap and available. Unless the outer body or both motors are gone, a repair typically costs a small fraction of replacement. We quote first, you decide.
