Frequently asked questions
How often should a storage geyser be descaled?
Once a year in hard-water areas like Delhi NCR; every two years on softer supply. If your geyser rumbles while heating, delivers less hot water than before, or trips the MCB, the scale has already built up — book sooner.
What does the anode rod do and when is it changed?
It corrodes sacrificially so the tank doesn't. Once spent — typically 2–3 years in hard water — corrosion turns on the tank itself. We inspect it during every descale and replace it when it's down to the core wire. It's the cheapest life-extension a geyser can get.
My geyser's water is brownish. Is the tank gone?
Not necessarily — brown water usually means rust sediment and a long-spent anode rod. If the tank walls are still sound, a descale, flush, and new anode fixes it. If the tank itself is perforated, we'll tell you honestly that it's replacement time.
