My TV has sound but a black screen. Is it dead?
Probably not — that symptom is classic backlight failure, one of the most repairable TV faults. Shine a torch at the screen; if you can faintly see the picture, the backlight strips need replacing. Far cheaper than a new TV, and quoted before we open the panel.
Can you mount a TV on a hollow or POP wall?
Yes, with the right hardware. We locate the solid members behind the surface or use rated hollow-wall anchors matched to the TV's weight. If a wall genuinely can't hold the load safely, we tell you and suggest alternatives — we don't mount and hope.
What height should a TV be mounted at?
Eye level from your main seating — typically the screen's centre at 40–44 inches from the floor for sofa viewing. Bigger rooms and reclined seating change the math; the technician marks the position with you before drilling anything.
Is an OLED panel repairable?
Board-level faults (power, mainboard, ports) — yes. The OLED panel itself is usually not economical to replace outside brand warranty. We diagnose honestly: if a repair doesn't make financial sense, you hear that from us before spending anything.
